AAG Restoration (formerly Asian Art Gallery in New York City), was established by Pang Ky and Ke Woon Kim in 1955. Pang Ky and Ke Woon moved from their country of Seoul, Korea to pursue their dreams of becoming artists in the US.
AAG Restoration is owned, managed and operated by Ronald Kim the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kim. Since early teens, Ronald trained for best practices and restoration techniques of diverse fine works of art. The Kim family is well known nationally and internationally for their restoration techniques and work on pieces with great historical value.
The quality of restoration is guaranteed by decades of experience combined with the fact that a 100% of the work is completed by Ronald, who ensure that details never go unnoticed and services are always personalized.
The company utilizes original materials and pigments, and even though methods are updated, each piece is restored almost wholly by hand. Our services were retained by the White House, and we are regularly employed by the largest auction houses and many of the foremost dealers, interior decorators and collectors worldwide. Our clients include, Christie’s(multiple departments), Sotheby’s (multiple departments), Peter Marino Architect, and other well-known dealers and collectors.
Our outcomes are strong and invisible , we normally do not use before/after pictures because most of our dealings are with clients who scrutinized our restoration using magnifying equipment to assure perfection, and pictures normally do not capture nor reflect the level of work on these pieces.
